These classes are about body awareness, and a time to be more connected with ourselves and our baby, and to facilitate the healthy and full process of growth and birth. Click here for an article Sa'ada wrote about the benefits of belly dance during pregnancy and for birth.

We will explore the natural, gentle, and ancient art of bellydance that is so beneficial to pregnancy. The skill level of movements is geared toward the average mom and new dancer, however the degree will be adjusted based on those participating. A class limit of five ensures a comfortable pace that is tailored to those involved. The movements of this class can be built upon later for those wishing to continue their bellydance journey.
The classes include stretching and cool down, learning and practicing the movements, discussion of physiology, hand-outs, video clips, dancing, and working towards a choreography for pregnancy if the class so desires. Women at all levels of dance and movement are welcome.

Classes are held in a home dance studio that is smoke-free and pet-free. Located in Kirkland, it is easy to get to from 405 and major roadways. Please remember to bring your own water to stay hydrated, and a snack if you'll need it. Hipscarves will be available to borrow during class, but please feel free to bring your own non-noisy hipscarf.

Currently there are no prenatal class sessions scheduled. Please contact Sa'ada to inquire about private or group prenatal bellydance lessons.

PayPal, cash, personal checks, money orders, and the occasional trade are welcome.

Two sessions are currently offered: May-July and July-August. Any classes canceled due to the instructor's labor will be refunded. Classes missed or skipped by the student can credited towards other classes. Are you due part way through the class? No problem! The classes you miss will be generously credited towards any post-baby classes, and you can bring your wee one with you.
The first class will be an introduction to the movements, general info, and get-to-know you time. If at attending the first class a student decides not to continue, the remainder of the session will be refunded.

Private lessons for individuals or groups can be arranged. For more information or questions contact Sa'ada.
